Indah SHANNON BEKKERUS created Ballet des Enfants in 2001. She has studied dance at Minnesota Dance Theater and the University of Minnesota, in Minneapolis, Minnesota. Miss Shannon has performed various roles in The Sleeping Beauty and The Nutcracker. She loves to teach because she feels that it is so rewarding to see the joy that dance brings to her students. When she's not teaching you can find her spending time with her family, taking cooking classes or reading a good book.
Indah INDAH BOYLE started teaching at Ballet des Enfants in 2008. She has studied at the Conservatory of Dance at SUNY Purchase College and holds a BFA in dance. Miss Indah has performed various roles in The Nutcracker as well as numerous modern dance pieces. She loves to teach because dancing has been the most fulfilling experience in her life and she wants to pass that experience on to other children. When she is not teaching she can be found at the gym, on a hiking trail, traveling, eating, or trying something completely new!
Marria MARRIA COSENTINO started teaching at Ballet Des Enfants in 2009. She studied at The School of American Ballet in Manhattan while attending the Professional Performing Arts School. After graduating she then went on to join Carolina Ballet in Raleigh, North Carolina. There Miss Marria performed many roles in ballets such as Cinderella, Sleeping Beauty, The Nutcracker and other Balanchine ballets. She loves to teach because she wants to pass on her love for ballet to others in hopes that they too can become fulfilled by the art form. When she is not teaching you can find her spending time with friends, eating out, in the sun, or taking ballet class.
Ana ANA DIMAS started teaching at Ballet des Enfants in 2008. She has studied dance at The North Carolina School of the Arts and later earned a BFA from New York University's Tisch School of the Arts. Miss Ana has performed in many ballets such The Nutcracker, Coppelia and Sleeping Beauty. She loves to teach because watching the faces of children light up when they dance, brings tremendous joy to her life. When she is not teaching you can find her cooking or at the playground with her 2 year old son!
Lisa LISA FITZGERALD has been teaching at Ballet Des Enfants since Fall of 2007. She has studied dance at New England Conservatory of Dance in Goffstown, NH. Lisa was then accepted into Nutmeg Conservatory for the Arts' residency program. Miss Lisa has performed in many ballets such as: Flower Festival, various roles in the Nutracker, Mirta in Giselle, La Bayadere, Don Quixote, Flames of Paris, and most recently, Cinderella. She loves to teach because she feels that it is wonderful to be able to share the love of dance, but most of all, when the students realize they have improved, it brings such joy. When she's not teaching you can find her dancing with Exit 12 Dance Company, which she co-founded with Lara Vilches and Roman Baca in 2007.
JULIA MAGGIOLA has been teaching at Ballet des Enfants since 2008. She has studied dance at New York University and Broadway Dance Center. Miss Julia has performed in many shows such as: The Nutcracker, The Producers, Anything Goes, Carousel, and Guys and Dolls. She loves to teach because she thinks dance is one of the most wonderful things to do and enjoys imparting a love of dance to her students. When she is not teaching you can find her taking dance class, spending time with friends, taking acting classes, or reading plays!
Lara LARA VILCHES has been teaching at Ballet des Enfants since 2007. She has studied dance at The Kirov Academy of Ballet in Washington, D.C. Miss Lara has performed in many ballets such as: the Nutcracker, Swan Lake, Cinderella, Paquita and The Sleeping Beauty. She loves to teach because she loves ballet herself and loves the joy it can bring to her students. When she is not teaching you can find her dancing or walking her dogs in the park!
